I am an Arabic, English and Spanish translator, specialized in technical translation (specially railway translation) and legal translation (I am a sworn translator authorized by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs).

Support for international patients of HM hospitals in Madrid.
Interpreting of medical consultations and translation of medical reports and related documents.
Dealing with international insurance companies (guaranties of payment, claims...)and managing payments,both for scheduled medical visits and emergencies.
Management of medical appointments and databases of patients.
Translation of railway manuals and regulations and interpreting of lectures and driving lessons for Renfe train drivers in the context of the Haramain High Speed Train Project.
Long stays in Saudi Arabia, where in addition to lectures I had to interpret business meetings and official visits to stations, tracks and workshops.
Creation and maintenance of dictionaries and glossaries.
Academic advice and administration of university files for Saudi students that had been awarded with a scholarship and chose Spain as their destination to continue their studies.
Management of a list with more than 150 Saudi customers, with whom the communication was developed solely in Arabic.
Negotiation with language academies and private universities, as well as relations with diplomatic envoys.
Volunteered in 2013 World Social Forum, held in Tunisia, as an EN►ES, AR►ES interpreter for Babels organization.
Co-founder and co-editor of Ta Marbuta, a blog on Arabic language and translation that receives over 15.000 visits every year.
EN ► ES translations for Plan International organization (executive summaries of their campaigns, advocacy strategies...).
AR ► ES translation of documents relating to Arabic calligraphy for Casa Árabe.
My diplomas and qualifications
One-year postgraduate intensive course on Arabic language and culture.
Diploma in Arabic to Spanish translation covering the following topics: Legal and Economical Translation, Literary Translation, Interpreting, Subtitling, Translation of the Religious Speech, and Translating for the UN.
Minor in Legal and Financial Translation. Including an international mobility grant (Sept. 2010 ► Jun.2011) at École de traducteurs et d’interprètes de Beyrouth (Université Saint-Joseph; Beirut, Lebanon).
